Athletes of the week: St. Joseph Notre Dame, Salesian, Archbishop Mitty, Mountain View students honored

East Bay athletes of the week

Cameron Ba, St. Joseph Notre Dame
Sport: Basketball
Position: Forward
Class: Junior
Scored a game-high 30 points to lead the Pilots to a 63-33 victory over Lick-Wilmerding in the NCS Division IV championship game. Ba hit six 3-pointers in the championship game at Albany High.

Angel Jackson, Salesian
Sport: Basketball
Position: Center
Class: Sophomore
Jackson pulled down 16 rebounds and blocked 14 shots in a 46-42 win over Bishop O’Dowd in the NCS Division III championship game. She also scored 25 points to go with 12 rebounds and 10 blocks in the semifinals against Campolindo.

South Bay/Peninsula athletes of the week

Madeline Holland, Archbishop Mitty
Sport: Basketball
Position: Guard/Forward
Class: Senior
Scored a game-high 23 points to go with eight rebounds in a 65-57 victory over Pinewood in the CCS Open Division final. She also registered a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in the semifinal against Valley Christian.

Sam Tobin, Mountain View
Sport: Basketball
Position: Guard
Class: Sophomore
Tobin dropped a game-high 21 points with six rebounds in a 70-58 victory against Valley Christian in the CCS Division II championship game. Tobin tripled his scoring output from the semifinal against Gunn to lead Mountain View to its first section championship.
